Whether you can only commit for a few games in a season or you fancy a new permanent challenge for your League and social cricket we welcome all players – and families – of all abilities.

A bit more background…

We have been established for over 150 years and have provided men’s and women’s Ashes winners in Bob Willis and Nat Sciver-Brunt. Other academy products currently play in the County Championship. Our current 1st XI captain is the grandson of a former England Test player, and one of his predecessors is now Head of International Player Development at the Rajasthan Royals franchise.

But we’re not elitist and are not expecting anyone who joins us to reach those heights! Our longevity, and why people join us, stay with us and recommend us, is our inclusivity; banter flows as we have members from all the Test playing nations; and away from the cricket side the players socialise in other sports, notably golf, football, rugby and hockey.

Our teas were ranked 7th out of 440 clubs in the network last season; we have a fully licensed bar and on-site parking. We are easily accessible by rail with the station five minutes’ walk away.

We have ECB Clubmark accreditation and are signed off for all Safeguarding and Welfare requirements.
